What You Need To Know! Frequently Asked Questions!

What is the commitment level for Maine Sting Baseball? Commitment level for the program is high. Typically all games will be played on the weekends. Winter Training begins in January and the season will typically run until August.

What do I get while playing Maine Sting Baseball? All players will receive uniform top, hat, pants, belt, socks, helmet, bat pack. Entries paid to all tournaments our program enters.

Why play Maine Sting vs. local ball? Players will face some of the most talented players in the state of Maine, and New England. Competition level is high and the training and experience your child will receive will not be matched at the local level.

Is playing time equal? Our program offers two levels of play. Our travel teams we use as a developmental approach where we will get all kids equal at bats and time in the field during the course of the weekend. While this does not mean we will hit our entire roster we believe in developing all the kids. Our Showcase teams do not have equal playing time. We believe in still trying to give kids the opportunity, however things may change in playoffs and outside tournaments.

If I have a problem or a concern who can I contact? You can communicate with your coach, or the director of the program. If you choose to contact a coach we ask that you wait at least 24 hours after a game to contact your coach. We ask all coaches to not communicate issues or concerns with parents during or immediately after a game. If a child is hurt, or ill coaches will speak to parents immediately. All concern with coaches must be done away from the field, and or hotel. We has that the concerns be done with email, or text. If a meeting needs to be held, the Maine Sting director and coach will meet with the parent.
